Step into a dynamic role supporting K-12 students across multiple campuses in a part-time, contract capacity. As a School Psychologist serving in an engaging educational environment, you’ll work with a diverse student population, collaborating closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid work options, while primarily being on-site, and will begin with a couple of professional development days so you can get fully oriented before school starts. The district is eager to begin interviews quickly, so timely applicants will be prioritized.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in School Psychology
  • Thorough knowledge of psychoeducational evaluations, special education criteria, and IDEA regulations
  • Proven ability to interpret assessment data, write comprehensive evaluation reports, and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including educational diagnosticians, social workers, and speech-language pathologists
  • Clear and professional communication skills for parents, teachers, and administrators
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple school assignments
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Successfully passing the district’s background check and fingerprinting requirements

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Provide and interpret educational assessments for students across PK-12 grades
  • Write detailed reports and maintain comprehensive case files to support program accountability
  • Serve as a key resource, answering questions from families and school staff regarding assessments and student needs
  • Suggest and help implement strategies and interventions tailored to each student’s unique educational path
  • Participate actively in professional development days and ongoing in-service training with school personnel and parents
  • Refer students and families to appropriate community resources as needed
