Senior Engineer

Position Overview:
\n We are seeking a Senior Engineer to provide advanced engineering and technical expertise on complex electric transmission projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems.

In this role, you will manage, prepare, review, and provide guidance on line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, clearance verification, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability assessments, work order package preparation, permitting, and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  Develop and approve PLS-CADD criteria for transmission projects.

\n
• \n

  Finalize PLS-CADD models and designs.

\n
• \n

  Plan and schedule project tasks for support teams.

\n
• \n

  Attend client stakeholder and design review meetings.

\n
• \n

  Mentor and train junior engineering team members.

\n
• \n

  Provide technical input on special design questions.

\n
• \n

  Participate in internal engineering and design review sessions.

\n

Qualifications & Experience:

• \n

  Bachelors degree in Engineering (required).

\n
• \n

  Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required).

\n
• \n

  Minimum of 8 years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required).

\n
• \n

  Proficient in using PLS-CADD for transmission line design (required).

\n
• \n

  Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.

\n
• \n

  Experience coordinating with substation, environmental, right-of-way, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.

\n
• \n

  Proven ability to apply engineering theories and principles effectively.

\n
• \n

  Skilled in researching engineering issues, evaluating alternatives, and preparing recommendations.

• \n
