Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Developer for a direct hire opportunity in Buffalo, NY with a high-performance engineering team building secure, scalable, cloud-native software solutions. This role is ideal for a backend developer with 2 to 5 years of professional experience who is ready to move beyond routine application development and take ownership of complex systems, API-driven services, and mission-critical business applications.

You will partner with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, QA professionals, and other technical stakeholders to deliver reliable applications in secure and highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Build backend services supporting real-time applications, asynchronous workflows, and high-volume transactional systems.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions related to service decomposition, schema design, dependency management, and system monitoring.
- Optimize application performance through effective logging, caching, multithreading, exception handling, and troubleshooting practices.
- Collaborate with React developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver secure, high-quality full-stack software solutions.
- Support production systems and travel to client locations throughout the United States and occasionally Canada for deployments, issue resolution, training, and client support.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $85,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience, technical expertise, and overall qualifications.
- Location: Buffalo, NY 14202.
- Work arrangement: On-site, with hybrid or remote work considered for the right candidate.
- Travel required, primarily within the United States with occasional travel to Canada.
