Job Description

Site EngineerWe are recruiting for a Site Engineer based in the Stoke area on a permanent basis.The RoleThe purpose of this role is to provide site engineering duties to a number of projects within the region. The Site Engineer will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made regularly.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, safety & environmentPromote the Cardinal Rules and establish safe working cultures and practicesComply with company procedures and legal obligationsPromote and comply with environmental complianceDeliver the works safelyQualityPromote best practiceComply with company proceduresEnsure work is delivered defect/snag-freeEndeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunitiesSite engineeringEstablish the level and survey control for contractsSet out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out regularlyEnsure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirementsResolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any timeProduce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with our procurement department to ensure the site has adequate resources to complete the tasksProduce ITPs and Task BriefingsProduce a 2-week look-ahead in conjunction with the Site AgentProduce Site Diaries and Allocation SheetsEssentialPrevious experience in setting out on civil engineering projectsSound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulationsFully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instrumentsDegree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineeringExcellent communication skillsSelf-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlookDesirableExperience in using AutoCAD and MS OfficeTemporary works co-ordinationCSCS cardCable avoidance trainingFirst aid trainingNEBOSH or IOSHWhat you get:Competitive salaryCompany PensionLife AssurancePrivate Medical25 days of annual leave in addition to 8 public bank holidays and loyalty days8 hours volunteeringEmployee Assistance Programme to support your mental, physiological and financial wellbeingFlexible benefits via salary sacrificeCompany car/green car scheme/car allowance/Van (dependent on position)Leadership & management training and coachingRegular line management engagement and appraisal to support your career progressionDevelopment supported by internal and externally delivered trainingContinuous service awardsTPBN1_UKTJ
