Job Description

The RoleThis is a varied role with an approximate 50/50 split between hands-on electrical installation work and electrical supervision.Youll carry out electrical installations, maintenance and testing on small works projects while independently managing your own workload. On larger commercial and industrial projects, youll act as the Electrical Supervisor, coordinating site activities, supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.Youll work closely with our Project Management team to deliver successful projects from start to finish.The role involves travel throughout the UK, predominantly across the Midlands, South of England and Wales, with occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements.Hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start and finish times may vary depending on project requirements. Flexibility is required due to travel and occasional overnight stays.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On Electrical WorkCarry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works on commercial and industrial projects.Undertake testing, inspection, commissioning and fault finding as required.Complete all work in accordance with current electrical regulations and company standards.Complete site documentation, certification and reports accurately.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervise electrical works on larger projects.Lead and coordinate electricians and subcontractors on site.Plan and allocate work to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.Monitor quality and ensure compliance with current regulations, health and safety legislation and company procedures.Liaise with Project Managers, clients, suppliers and other trades to coordinate works.Promote a positive safety culture and maintain high standards of housekeeping across all sites.Essential RequirementsNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).18th Edition Wiring Regulations.ECS/JIB Gold Card.Full UK Driving Licence.Experience working within commercial and industrial environments.Strong communication and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and lead others effectively.DesirableInspection and Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent).Previous supervisory or team leader experience.Experience working alongside mechanical services contractors.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Company van.Company iPad and mobile phone.Overtime opportunities.Accommodation and expenses paid when working away.Company pension scheme.Ongoing training and professional development.Opportunities for career progression within a growing business.A varied role combining hands-on electrical work with leadership responsibilities.Ready to Join Us?If youre an experienced electrician looking to take the next step into a hands-on supervisory role while remaining involved in technical work, wed love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
