Site Manager - Food Manufacturing Facility ProjectsLocation: BarnsleySector: Food Manufacturing / FMCG / ConstructionRole Type: ContractProject: site-based construction and installation works within a live food manufacturing environmentRole OverviewWe are currently looking to speak with experienced Site Managers for an upcoming project at a food manufacturing facility in Barnsley .The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating contractors, maintaining health and safety standards and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme within a live operational environment.This role would suit a Site Manager with proven experience working on food, FMCG, manufacturing, process, industrial or clean environment construction projects .Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily site operations and contractor activity on a live manufacturing facilityEnsure all works are completed safely, on time and in line with project requirementsReview and manage RAMS, permits to work, inductions and site documentationCoordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and client-side stakeholdersMaintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping and site disciplineEnsure works are planned around live production and operational constraintsAttend site meetings and provide regular progress updatesMonitor quality of works and ensure compliance with agreed specificationsManage site logistics, access, deliveries and any interface with production teamsSupport project delivery teams with planning, sequencing and issue resolutionEssential RequirementsSMSTS certificationValid CSCS cardProven experience as a Site Manager on construction or engineering projectsPrevious experience working within a food manufacturing facilityStrong understanding of health and safety, RAMS, permits and contractor controlExperience working on live operational sitesAbility to manage multiple contractors and work packagesStrong communication and organisational skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environmentDesirable ExperienceExperience with hygiene-sensitive or clean environment construction worksBackground in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, FMCG or process manufacturingFirst Aid at WorkExperience managing shutdowns, upgrades, refurbishments or installation projectsPlease click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
