Following continued investment and growth, they are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team and play a key role in supporting operational performance, financial governance and strategic decision-making.

Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Finance will lead a team of Finance Managers and play a key role in supporting both the finance function and wider operational leadership team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, developing and mentoring a team of Finance Managers and finance professionals
\n
• Driving budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across a multi-site operation
\n
• Delivering insightful management reporting and financial analysis to support decision-making
\n
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance, cost efficiency and profitability
\n
• Supporting capital investment planning and business case development
\n
• Strengthening governance, controls and risk management frameworks
\n
• Managing cash flow, working capital and balance sheet performance
\n
• Enhancing reporting capability and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
\n
• Supporting audit processes and ensuring a strong financial control environment
\n
• Acting as deputy to the Finance Director when required
\n

Profile

We are seeking a qualified finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and experience operating within a complex multi-site environment to take on this Head of Finance position.

You will likely possess:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
\n
• Significant post-qualified finance experience
\n
• Previous experience leading finance teams within a multi-site or operationally focused business
\n
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
\n
• Experience of improving processes, systems and financial performance
\n
• A solid understanding of governance, controls, audit and risk management
\n
• Cash flow, working capital and balance sheet management experience
\n
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
\n
• The ability to influence and challenge constructively across operational and leadership teams
\n
• Experience gained within capital intensive sectors such as logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial services, waste, engineering, supply chain or similarly operational businesses would be advantageous
\n
