POST ID: HPM26/2704MARINA OPERATIVE CASUAL WORKERMarina Developments Ltd is the UKs leading Marina operator with several marinas within the UK situated at idyllic locations.We are looking to engage a casual worker to support our team on an ad hoc basis at Hamble Point Marina.This role will be a no-fixed hours casual worker contract.Typically, casual work assigned to you will be based at Hamble Point Marina, Hamble-Le-Rice. There may also be the opportunity to work at one of our other sites within the region.The role of our Casual Marina Operative will be to assist the team from time to time supporting the site with various tasks and shifts that require casual resource.The role will include but not limited to:Provide a meet and greet service to all members and visitorsOverseeing the berthing allocations of vesselsTo carry out general maintenance tasks as requiredEnsuring the telephone is answered in the correct and timely mannerTo ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with both promptly and efficientlyAssisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated servicesMaintaining the security of the siteCarry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance with H&S and Customer Service standardsThe key requirements for this role are but not limited to:Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive can do attitudePrevious experience in a customer service environment (in a leisure/marina/hospitality industry an advantage)General maintenance skills (not essential but an advantage)Self-motivated and able to work without supervisionSound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplaceConfident use of IT systemsA practical, resourceful and common-sense approachGood practical boating skills/qualifications (not essential but an advantage)Competent swimmer (essential)Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalentThese are exciting times to join MDL.
