Production Planner

Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Production Planner to work with a well-established engineering company based near Kingswinford. As the Production Planner will be responsible for processing and planning of orders for machined components.Working hours for the Production Engineer:Monday Friday 8am 4.30pmWhats on offer for the Production Planner:Competitive salary up to £50,000 p.a.34 days holiday (including bank holidays)Free parkingFree drinksPension SchemeDeath in service x2 annual salaryStaff referral programmeDevelopment opportunitiesDuties of the Production Engineer:Process all new sales orders, ensuring routings selectedare most economical and fully compliant with customer requirementsReview specifications and drawings, providing technicalsupport and assistance to any departments within the business that require itCreate ITPs / MPSs based on customer requirements ensuring all technical and quality aspects are metWork closely with production planning to ensure that best route is chosen to suit the businesses current capacity and capabilitiesDealing with customers regarding any queries of a technical nature where support is neededPerforming contract review of sales orders and routingsDeal with suppliers and procuring raw material / finished goods to meet customer demandThe successful candidate for the Production Planners position will have the following experience:3 5 years experience working as a Production Engineer/Planner (Essential)Looking into the best route of manufacture (Essential)Experience working within a machining environment (Essential)Working within a Fasteners environment (Desirable)Working with ERP Systems (Essential)Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
