Job Description
A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major highways programme across the North West.This is an excellent opportunity to join an established commercial team, working on a significant civil engineering project and supporting the commercial management of works from project delivery through to final account.Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors, the Commercial Manager and operational teams, you'll play an important role in cost management, subcontract administration and NEC contract management, helping to ensure strong commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing the commercial performance of highways and civil engineering projectsProduce and maintain CVRs, forecasts and commercial reportsSupport the procurement and commercial management of subcontractorsAssist with compensation events, variations and change controlAdminister NEC contracts and maintain contractual recordsPrepare and submit applications for paymentMonitor project costs, cash flow and commercial performanceSupport the agreement of final accounts with clients and subcontractorsIdentify commercial risks and opportunitiesWork closely with operational teams to provide commercial support throughout project deliveryRequirementsPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways, infrastructure or civil engineeringGood understanding of NEC contractsExperience managing or assisting with subcontract accountsAbility to produce CVRs, forecasts and cost reportsStrong commercial awareness and cost management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a collaborative project teamIf you're a Quantity Surveyor with experience in highways or major infrastructure projects and are looking for your next opportunity, we'd be keen to discuss this role with you.Apply today for a confidential conversation.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
