Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer (ATEX Certification)Location: Nottingham (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + Relocation Package AvailableThe RoleWe are looking for a Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer to join an engineering team developing low-power electronic products for critical industrial applications.This is a hands-on senior role focused on taking products through the full hardware lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to certification, approval and production.The ideal candidate will have experience designing electronic hardware products and taking them through approval and certification processes, ideally within ATEX, IECEx, safety-critical or regulated environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop low-power electronic hardware products from concept to productionOwn hardware development including schematic design, PCB design, prototyping, testing and manufactureDesign analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronicsDevelop microcontroller-based embedded hardware solutionsSupport hardware bring-up, debugging and validationManage product certification activities, working directly with certification bodies and external test housesSupport ATEX / IECEx, EMC and compliance processesProduce technical documentation, risk assessments and manufacturing documentationCollaborate with firmware, mechanical and production teamsRequired ExperienceStrong experience in electronic hardware design and product developmentProven track record taking products through approval and certification processesExperience working within ATEX, IECEx, safety-critical or regulated environmentsExperience designing low-power electronic systemsStrong PCB design experience (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad or similar)Analogue and digital electronics design experienceExperience taking hardware from concept through to productionPlease note : Sponsorship cannot be provided for this role and applicants must be based in the UK.TPBN1_UKTJ
