About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students academic progress, emotional well-being, organisation, and self-regulation, helping them navigate the demands of secondary school while building confidence and independence.We're looking for a patient and resilient individual who can develop a positive and trusting relationship with the students while maintaining high expectations and promoting positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the students in maintaining focus, engagement, and participation during lessons
\n
• Implement strategies to support attention, organisation, time management, and emotional regulation
\n
• Help manage transitions between lessons and different school environments
\n
• Promote positive behaviour and support the student in meeting individual targets
\n
• Build a strong, professional relationship with the student based on trust, consistency, and encouragement
\n
• Monitor and report on the student's progress, well-being, and engagement
\n

Requirements

\n
• Experience supporting children or young people with ADHD, SEMH needs, or other SEND requirements
\n
• A strong understanding of ADHD and the strategies that support attention, engagement, and emotional regulation
\n
• Strong behaviour management, communication and teamwork skills
\n
• Experience working within a secondary school setting (desirable)
\n
• Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work, SEND, or a related field would be advantageous but are not essential
\n
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential
\n
