We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team based in Slough.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and proactive warehouse professional with a proven track record of leading warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising the warehouse structure, managing a mixed warehouse team, and ensuring high standards of accuracy, productivity, safety, and accountability. This is a hands-on leadership role, so you must be comfortable leading by example and supporting the team where required.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • \n
  • Occasional weekend work as required
  • \n

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Lead and manage the warehouse team on a day-to-day basis, setting priorities and maintaining productivity.
  • \n
  • Review and restructure warehouse processes, layouts and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity.
  • \n
  • Implement clear warehouse procedures and best practices to create a well-organised and high-performing operation.
  • \n
  • Oversee goods in, goods out, stock control, and dispatch activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety and warehouse compliance.
  • \n
  • Manage staff performance, attendance and development, holding team members accountable where necessary.
  • \n
  • Coordinate and book UK outbound shipments, working closely with logistics and freight providers.
  • \n
  • Monitor warehouse performance, identify areas for continuous improvement and implement practical solutions.
  • \n
  • Lead by example by supporting warehouse operations whenever required.
  • \n

Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Previous Warehouse Management experience is essential.
  • \n
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a warehouse team within the UK.
  • \n
  • Experience restructuring or improving warehouse operations is highly desirable.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership skills with the confidence to motivate, develop and manage people effectively.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills.
  • \n
  • A hands-on management style with the ability to work operationally when required.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Experience working with logistics or freight is highly desirable.
  • \n
  • A valid forklift licence is desirable.
  • \n
