Practice Accountant

P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a growing Accountancy Firm based in North Lanarkshire, to recruit a Practice Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. Part-time, flexible and hybrid hours will also be considered. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Practice Accountant to take on a diverse client base including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industry sectors within a small friendly team environment with a clear pathway for progression.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Preparing sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts for a variety of clients
\n
• Preparing management accounts
\n
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
\n
• Preparing corporation tax computations
\n
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns
\n
• Managing client relationships
\n
• Acting as a mentor to the junior staff members
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Previous experience working in Practice is essential
\n
• QBE, ACCA, ICAS qualified
\n
• Strong core skills of statutory accounts preparation
\n
• Xero and Iris experience is preferred
\n
• Strong communication skills
\n
• Ambitious and hard working
\n
