\nRole Description:
\nOur client is a well-established, family-run maintenance business with over 35 years’ industry experience. Following a recent acquisition, they are now part of a leading international FM group, combining a strong local reputation with the backing and reach of a global organisation. They are seeking a commercially driven and technically credible Technical Business Development Manager to support continued growth across London.
\nThis is a fast-paced, client-facing position focused on securing new Hard FM contracts and developing long-term client relationships. You will play a key role in positioning the business as a trusted provider of building services, including Fabric Maintenance, M&E, HVAC, and compliance-led solutions.
\nWorking closely with internal engineering and operational teams, you will lead opportunities from early engagement through to contract award, combining technical understanding with a consultative sales approach.
\nKey Responsibilities:

- Identify and secure new Hard FM opportunities across commercial, residential, industrial, and public sector clients \n
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities (typically £100k to £5m+) \n
- Engage clients early in the procurement cycle, influencing specifications and solutions \n
- Conduct site surveys and develop tailored maintenance strategies \n
- Support and lead bid and tender submissions (PQQs, ITTs, frameworks) \n
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including FM and procurement teams \n
- Monitor market trends and contribute to overall sales strategy \n
About You:

- Proven experience in business development within Hard FM, Building Services, or M&E \n
- Track record of securing contracts from £100k to multi-million value \n
- Strong technical understanding of FM services, ideally including M&E, HVAC, and fabric maintenance \n
- Confident in consultative selling and engaging in technical discussions \n
- Commercially aware with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills \n
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities \n
Desirable:

- Engineering or Building Services qualification \n
- IOSH / NEBOSH or similar \n
- Membership of CIBSE or IWFM \n
