Are you an enthusiastic, adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive environment? Tradewind Recruitment is proud to partner with a welcoming secondary school situated in the scenic South Lakes area near Coniston to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for the upcoming academic year.

In this role, you will work alongside class teachers and the SEN coordinator to support secondary students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be instrumental in creating an engaging learning environment, helping students overcome barriers to learning, and supporting their academic and personal growth.

  Providing targeted 1:1 and small group intervention for students requiring extra academic or pastoral support.

\n
• \n

  Supporting classroom management and assisting teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.

\n
• \n

  Helping students build self-confidence, independence, and strong social skills.

\n
• \n

  Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tracking student progress.

\n
• \n

  Promoting an inclusive, safe, and positive atmosphere where every student can thrive.

\n

• \n

  Previous experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting.

\n
• \n

  A friendly, resilient, and patient approach to supporting secondary-aged learners.

\n
• \n

  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a school team.

\n
• \n

  A strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

\n
• \n

  An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

\n
