Temporary Marketing & Communications Officer

Newcastle City Centre | Full-Time | Temporary Contract & Immediate Start Available

Are you a creative and experienced Marketing & Communications professional available at short notice? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Newcastle City Centre for a Marketing & Communications Officer to provide temporary sickness cover.

This is an initial one-month assignment, with the potential for extension depending on business needs.

The Role

Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging marketing and communications activity across a range of digital and print channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, designing and distributing e-newsletters using DotDigital
\n
• Creating, scheduling and monitoring social media content through Hootsuite
\n
• Designing creative assets for both digital and print campaigns using Canva
\n
• Writing engaging copy for a variety of channels including:\n
  \n
  • E-newsletters
  \n
  • Social media platforms
  \n
  • Website content
  \n
  • Internal and external communications
  \n
\n
• Uploading and maintaining website content using WordPress
\n
• Supporting wider marketing and communications projects as required
\n

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
• Previous experience in a Marketing, Communications or Digital Marketing role
\n
• Strong copywriting and content creation skills
\n
• Hands-on experience using DotDigital, Hootsuite, Canva, and WordPress
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
\n
• A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently
\n
