Technical Business Analyst Location: Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days per week onsite)We are currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a software delivery team within a leading global technology and consulting organisation.This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst with experience in technology environments to act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements and supporting the delivery of effective solutions.You will work across the full delivery lifecycle, collaborating with developers, testers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business objectives and user needs.Key Responsibilities: Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirementsCreate user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, and supporting documentationWork closely with product owners and delivery teams to support software development and implementationFacilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-upsSupport business change activities, impact assessments, and operational readinessCollaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, testers, DevOps teams, and technical architectsAssist with testing activities, including reviewing test scripts, supporting defect triage, and resolving queriesIdentify risks, dependencies, and technical constraints throughout deliveryUse data analysis to support decision-making, validate requirements, and identify improvementsExperience Required: 1.55 years experience working as a Business Analyst within a software delivery or technology environmentStrong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder managementExperience working within Agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban) or WaterfallAbility to write clear user stories and functional requirementsExperience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similarUnderstanding of APIs, databases, and system integration conceptsStrong SQL skills and experience analysing data to identify trends and data quality issuesExperience working with cross-functional technology teamsDesirable Experience: Experience with business change and transformation projectsBackground working within public sector or regulated environmentsKnowledge of BPMN, UML, Design Thinking, or structured solution design techniquesExposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Salesforce, or emerging technologies including GenAIFamiliarity with UX principles or wireframing tools such as Figma or BalsamiqProfessional Business Analyst certificationSecurity Requirements: This role requires candidates to successfully complete BPSS and SC security clearance.
