Job Description
We're recruiting for an Estates Officer to join a busy housing team based in Newark-on-Trent, helping maintain safe, clean and well-managed neighbourhoods while providing a visible presence within local communities.Responsibilities of the Estates Officer: Carry out regular estate and neighbourhood inspectionsAct as the eyes and ears on the ground, identifying and reporting issuesEngage with residents and promote positive estate standardsSupport tenancy compliance through advice, guidance and community engagementComplete minor DIY and practical maintenance tasksLitter pick and report fly-tipping or environmental concernsCheck communal buildings and vacant propertiesReport repairs, anti-social behaviour and other neighbourhood issuesMaintain accurate records and escalate concerns to the relevant teamsWhat we're looking for: Customer-facing or public service experienceBackground in housing, estates, caretaking, facilities, community safety or similar roles desirableStrong communication and community engagement skillsBasic DIY/practical maintenance abilityComfortable working independently and outdoorsFull clean UK driving licence and confident driving a company vanWhat's on offer: £20.00£25.00 per hour (Umbrella, depending on experience)3-month temporary contract (potential to extend)Company van providedImmediate interviews and quick startIf you enjoy working with people, solving problems and improving local communities, we'd love to hear from you.
