Continued growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.The RoleAs Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for scaffolding and specialist access projectsManaging the commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final accountReviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentationProducing detailed take-offs, cost plans, and pricing schedulesObtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractorsPreparing applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accountsMonitoring project costs and producing regular commercial reportsIdentifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesSupporting contract negotiations and subcontract procurementBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and operational teamsSupporting project handovers and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-construction to deliveryThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will have:Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or in a dual commercial role within the construction industryExperience within scaffolding, access solutions, specialist subcontracting, or the wider construction sector would be highly advantageousStrong commercial awareness and estimating abilityExperience managing valuations, variations, and final accountsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsGood understanding of construction contracts and commercial processesStrong Microsoft Excel and IT skillsA proactive, organised, and commercially focused approachFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £60,000£6,000 Car AllowanceAttractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a leading specialist access contractorExposure to major commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the UKLong-term career progression within a growing and financially secure businessSupportive and collaborative commercial teamOpportunity to play a key role in the continued success of the businessApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
