Support Worker

Were looking for passionate and caring Support Workers to join our specialist home in Rainford, St Helens.Our home at Higher Lane is a four bedroom adult home in Rainford, St Helens. The people we support enjoy trips out to the beach, nearby farms and even local shopping trips to help with their independence skills. One of their favourite activities is swimming but they also enjoy sensory play, watching films, baking, listening to music, arts and crafts, and attending college for further education.As a Support Worker, you will be a key part of their day-to-day support team, actively valuing and amplifying what matters to them, empowering their communication and independence, planning fulfilling activities. You will also keep records of their needs, support provided and progress.No two days are the same, you could be supporting someone to settle into their new home, develop independence and life skills, enjoy activities they love, or achieve important milestones. Youll be part of a supportive team creating a safe, positive, and empowering environment where people can truly thrive.You will help to create a warm, stimulating environment whilst working a mix of day shifts and sleeps to meet individual needs.Youll do more than provide care youll be a mentor, advocate, and source of encouragement, helping the people you support to achieve the best outcomes.What were looking for:Passion for person-centred support.Positive, proactive attitude.Resilience and strong teamwork skills.Willingness to learn and grow.Full UK driving licence is desirable.Care experience is helpful but not essential - full training and support will be provided.For detailed information about the role, employee benefits, our interview process, and life at Higher Lane click here to see our Job Information Pack.Safeguarding RequirementSuccessful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
