Flexible working hours complete your 39 hours per week over 5 days with start and finish times that work for youPopular early finish working pattern available;many team members work longer hoursMondayThursday,with the remaining hours completed on Friday for an early finish24 days annual leave + bank holidaysCompany pension schemeBUPA private medical insuranceCompany sick payLife insurance / death in service benefitEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to Work SchemeFree onsite parkingModern manufacturing facility with ongoing investment in equipment and technologySupportive engineering environment with opportunities to develop your skills and career--------------------------------------------------------------------- The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our manufacturing team, producing high-precision components in a modern engineering environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality machining, enjoys solving problems and wants to develop their technical skills within a supportive and forward-thinking business.You will be responsible for setting, operating and improving CNC turning processes, working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications to produce components to exacting standards.------------------------------------------------------------ The Role: Setting up and operating CNC turning machinesReading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and tolerancesUsing CAD files and software to support programme development and adjustmentsCarrying out machining operations including turning, grinding, milling and finishing processesSelecting and setting appropriate tooling to achieve accurate resultsPerforming routine machine checks, maintenance and inspectionsUsing hand tools and measuring equipment to ensure components meet required standardsSupporting assembly activities and working with metal and plastic componentsTroubleshooting machining and mechanical issues using practical engineering knowledgeMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment-------------------------------------------------------------- What We're Looking For: Proven experience operating and setting CNC turning machinesThe ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience working with CAD software (SolidWorks would be advantageous)Knowledge of machining processes, tooling and measurement techniquesExperience with grinding, milling or welding would be beneficialStrong mechanical understanding and problem-solving skillsGood attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workThe ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider engineering teamTPBN1_UKTJ
