Job Description

Join a growing regional service team supporting large-scale industrial refrigeration and chiller systems across Sunderland, with additional work on expanding contracts toward the Leeds area. This is a hands-on, technically focused role suited to engineers who enjoy working on complex plant and want long-term stability, development, and support from a national engineering network.What youll be doing In this mobile service role, youll take ownership of the maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of industrial-size chillers and refrigeration systems across customer sites. Youll be a key technical point of contact, trusted to diagnose issues, carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and respond to breakdowns efficiently and safely.Your day-to-day will include:Servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial refrigeration and chiller plantCarrying out PPM and reactive call-outsDiagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control faultsProducing clear service reports and recommending improvementsEnsuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standardWorking independently on site while collaborating closely with the wider service teamWhat we offer Competitive salary plus attractive standby allowance (1 in 7)Regular overtime opportunitiesLocal working patch Sunderland and surrounding areas, with some work toward Leeds (minimised travel)Fully equipped service vehicle , mobile phone, tablet, PPE, and specialist tools25 days holiday + bank holidays (holiday purchase available)Pension, life assurance, employee discounts, referral scheme, cycle-to-workStrong focus on training, upskilling, and long-term career progressionA safety-first culture with full support from a national engineering organisationWhat were looking for Refrigeration apprenticeship or equivalent qualificationProven experience working on industrial refrigeration and large-scale chillersExperience with HFC systems and ideally ammonia and/or CO2Ability to interpret electrical schematics, piping diagrams, and system layoutsF-Gas 2079 and ammonia handling certificationFamiliarity with major OEMs such as SABROE, Frick, York, Bitzer, HowdenStrong diagnostic skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindsetFull UK driving licenceInterested?
