We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Lune Gorge project team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile infrastructure project, helping to deliver commercial success on a major civil engineering scheme. Could this be the next step in your career?Location: Nationwide site-based role in Tebay, Cumbria, with some remote working availableHours: Permanent, Full time, 45 hours per week flexible hours can be discussedSalary: £40,000 £45,000 per year + £5,000 annual car allowance + benefitsWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this roleWhat will you be responsible for?As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing costs, maximising value and supporting the successful delivery of the project. Working closely with commercial and operational teams, you'll help ensure strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.Day to day responsibilities include:Supporting the commercial management of contracts and work packages to achieve project objectives and target marginsPreparing and submitting valuations, applications, claims and commercial reports in line with contractual requirementsMonitoring costs, forecasting financial performance and providing accurate commercial insight to the project teamIdentifying commercial risks and opportunities, helping to resolve issues and protect project outcomesManaging measurements, valuations and cash flow to maintain effective commercial control throughout deliveryWhat are we looking for?This role of Quantity Surveyor could be a great fit if you:Hold a construction-related degree or equivalent qualificationHave a full driving licence and are happy working in a site-based environmentBring experience from a commercial role within construction, infrastructure or transportation projectsAre confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to analyse and manage commercial informationEnjoy building strong working relationships and communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholdersRewards and benefitsWe're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
