The company employs around 77,000 Amcor people worldwide and operating in 40-plus countries.(TRAINEE) EXTRUSION OPERATORWe are currently seeking to recruit an Extrusion Operator or Trainee Extrusion Operator to join the Extrusion Business Unit based at the Workington Site. Reporting to the Shift Manager the main duties of the Extrusion Operator involve the production of extruded material, using blown film technology, to the highest possible standard, for use in the food market.This is an operational role, working 12-hour shifts, which includes weekend, nights and days, within the Extrusion Business Unit. The role-holder is required to perform daily production tasks to support Plant Management, and co-workers in achieving the production plan.The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.Due to the technical nature of the role good GCSE passes or equivalent in Maths, English and Science is essential.The candidate should show demonstrable experience in the following key areas:Manual HandlingWorking safely ensuring work is completed in a safe manner, following all SSWs and Safety Policies.Team WorkingExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHave good organisation and prioritisation skillsGood standard of literacy and numeracyIT Skills (Microsoft office) Experience of accessing electronic informationPrior experience in a manufacturing environmentProcess knowledge / experienceProblem solving skillsAbility to motivate self and othersClosing Date - 7th August 2026TPBN1_UKTJ
