The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment and fit-out of depot buildings and yard areas, ensuring facilities are maintained to current standards and regulatory requirements.The role will support depot operations by providing a safe, efficient and well-maintained working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlace health and safety as the highest priority at all timesComplete work to a high standard and identify failures to prevent recurrenceSupport depot operations as requiredMinimise the environmental impact of depot operationsRecord water meter readings and provide monthly readings to the managerMonitor skips and arrange emptying when requiredAssist with depot maintenance and utilitiesComplete workplace risk assessments before work beginsOperate plant safely, where authorised and requiredSupervise the return of site materials to the depot, including unloading and positioningCarry out weekly workshop fire alarm checksCheck the suitability and condition of depot drainsEnsure drain spill traps are fit for purposeMaintain accurate and up-to-date depot signageArrange and supervise subcontractors, ensuring RAMS meet required standardsMonitor depot road conditions and arrange repairs where necessaryAllocate maintenance costs correctlyComplete other duties as requested by the line manager, in line with training and competenceWhat do you bring to the role?Clean driving licence preferredExperience in plumbing, joinery, decorating and electrical workAbility to multitask and prioritise a busy workloadEnthusiastic team playerHighly professional and positive attitudeSlinger/signaller experience preferredCPCS qualifications in various categories preferredAP qualification consideredPertemps is committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.TPBN1_UKTJ
