Job Description
Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for educational technology, pedagogy, and safeguarding?
\nWe are looking for experienced educators to join a vital national project. You will play a key role in building the benchmarks that ensure AI tutoring tools are safe, accurate, and pedagogically sound for students across the UK.
About the Role\nThis is a highly flexible, fully remote role running until 30th September 2026, requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week.
\nUsing your subject expertise, you will evaluate AI systems, create teaching scenarios, and set the standards by which AI educational tools are measured. Your day-to-day will involve creating realistic student-teacher conversations, developing benchmarking criteria, scoring AI responses, and building rubrics to evaluate and compare AI-generated content.
\n- Pay Rate: £20 - £30 per hour
\n- Location: Fully Remote (UK)
\n- Hours: 5-10 hours per week (Flexible)
Key Requirements\nMandatory:
\n- Secondary Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with verified experience teaching in English schools (references required).
\n- Experience teaching Year 9 in one or more of the following core subjects:
\nEnglish
\nMaths
\nScience: Chemistry, Physics, Biology
\nModern Foreign Languages (MFL): French, German, Spanish
\n- Comfortable using web-based platforms and adapting to new software.
\n- Your own laptop and a reliable internet connection.
\n\nHighly Valued (But Not Required):
\n- Safeguarding Expertise: Designated Safeguarding experience (e.g., current/former DSL or Deputy DSL, or Level 3+ safeguarding training with practical child protection responsibilities).
\n- SEND Experience: SENCO experience, working in a specialist school, or holding a recognised Level 3+ SEND qualification.
\n\nDesirable (But Not Required):
\n- 2+ years of experience delivering approved teacher training (ITT, NPQs, ECF, etc.).
\n- 1+ years of 1:1 tutoring experience with Year 9 students.
