\nAre you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment?
\nOur client, a well-established organisation based in the Ayrshire area, is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join their busy payroll team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fully office-based role offering the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team following an initial temporary period of at least six months.
\nThe Role
\nWorking within a high-volume payroll function, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 1,300 employees. You will take ownership of the end-to-end processing of a single monthly payroll, ensuring all payroll activities are completed accurately, compliantly and within strict deadlines.
\nThis position requires a proactive individual who can confidently manage complex payroll queries, carry out manual calculations, and work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
\nKey Responsibilities

- End-to-end processing of a monthly payroll for approximately 1,300 employees \n
- Accurate calculation and processing of salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions and statutory payments \n
- Performing manual payroll calculations where required \n
- Processing starters, leavers and contractual changes \n
- Managing payroll queries from employees and key stakeholders \n
- Ensuring payroll records are maintained accurately and compliantly \n
- Supporting payroll reconciliations and audit requirements \n
- Working closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy \n
- Assisting with payroll reporting and system administration tasks \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Previous experience within a high-volume payroll environment \n
- Hands-on experience using Dayforce Payroll (essential) \n
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing for a large employee population \n
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and payroll processes \n
- Proven experience completing manual payroll calculations \n
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy \n
- Strong organisational and time management skills \n
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict payroll deadlines \n
- Confident communication skills and a customer-focused approach \n
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information \n
