Contract: Temporary (6-month contract)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Early and late shifts, including 1 in 3 weekends

Location: Watford (WD17)

Pay Rate: £17.14 per hour (PAYE)

About the Role

\n

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join the team in Watford on a 6-month temporary contract.

\n

This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will work alongside residents, supporting them to sustain their accommodation, develop independent living skills, and achieve their personal goals. You'll build positive relationships, provide practical and emotional support, and help create a safe, supportive environment that promotes wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support tailored to individual resident needs.
  • \n
  • Assist residents in maintaining their accommodation and preventing homelessness.
  • \n
  • Support residents to develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
  • \n
  • Encourage engagement with education, training, employment, and community services.
  • \n
  • Complete support plans, risk assessments, and accurate case notes.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • \n
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and report any concerns in line with policy.
  • \n
  • Maintain professional boundaries while building positive, supportive relationships.

  • Experienced in housing, homelessness, supported living, or a similar support environment (desirable).
