Control Panel Builder

We are recruiting an experienced Control Panel Builder to join a busy electrical manufacturing team. This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled assembler who takes pride in producing high-quality electrical control panels and similar assemblies.

\n

\n

Key responsibilities

\n

- Build, wire and assemble control panels, enclosures and electrical assemblies to specification

\n

- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions

\n

- Terminate wires, install components (relays, PLCs, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, connectors, etc.) and route wiring neatly and safely

\n

- Perform continuity checks, insulation and functional testing using multimeters and test equipment

\n

- Identify and resolve assembly or wiring issues; apply corrective actions as required

\n

- Ensure work meets quality standards, documentation requirements and safety regulations

\n

- Keep accurate assembly records and participate in continuous improvement activities

\n

\n

Required skills and experience

\n

- Proven experience building and wiring control panels or similar electrical assemblies

\n

- Ability to read electrical schematics and follow assembly instructions accurately

\n

- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in electrical assembly

\n

- Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity and neat workmanship

\n

- Basic electrical test and fault-finding skills

\n

- Commitment to safe working practices and ability to work to deadlines

\n

\n

Desirable

\n

- Basic electrical or apprenticeship qualification (electrical, electro-mechanical or similar)

\n

- Experience with PLC wiring, HMI wiring or industrial automation components

\n

- IPC or other quality/assembly certification

\n

\n
