HGV 2 Dustcart Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Dustcart Driver to join our Council Waste and Recycling team. You will play a vital role in keeping our communities clean by safely operating refuse collection vehicles and supporting waste collection services across the borough.

• Safely operate and drive council dustcarts on designated collection routes.
\n
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
\n
• Work closely with refuse loaders to complete scheduled collections efficiently.
\n
• Ensure compliance with road traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and council policies.
\n
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
\n

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
\n
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation.
\n
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
\n
• Strong communication skills and a positive team-working attitude.
\n
• Previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles is desirable but not essential.
