Senior Buyer - Permanent - Hybrid Working - Competitive Salary Package of between 50-65K per annum.Do you enjoy delivering on critical infrastructure projects and helping to drive commercial value?An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a growing infrastructure and engineering business in Birmingham to come and deliver on major projects.As a Senior Buyer, you'll work ownership of procurement activities across live projects, ensuring materials, suppliers and commercial agreements are managed effectively to support impactful project delivery.The successful person will help to drive cost efficiencies, strengthen supplier performance and ensure procurement activities remain aligned with project budgets, programmes and contractual requirements.Key Responsibilities:Managing procurement activities across multiple infrastructure projectsSourcing cost-effective materials and servicesNegotiating pricing schedules, commercial terms and supplier agreementsManaging supplier relationships and monitoring supply chain performanceSupporting project teams with procurement planning and deliveryEnsuring procurement processes and governance procedures are followedManaging purchasing documentation and approvalsMonitoring contractual changes and updating purchase orders accordinglyCommunicating delivery risks, delays and supply chain issues pro-activelyIdentifying cost-saving opportunities and reporting commercial benefitsSupporting continuous improvement and lessons learned across projectsEssential Requirements:Experience of working within a similar role as a buyerKnowledge of NEC contracts and Contract LawExperience using ERP systems, ideally SAP Business OneStrong negotiation and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication and analytical abilitiesA proactive and solutions-focused approachThe ability to work flexibly within project driven environmentsCIPS Level 4 qualification (preferred)What's on Offer:The opportunity to work on large scale and high profile infrastructure projectsA collaborative and supportive working environmentCareer progression and professional development opportunitiesCompetitive salary and benefits packageExposure to complex and technically challenging projectsA business culture that values contribution, accountability and teamworkIf you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact while developing your career within a growing environment, then please apply and one of the team will be in touch to discuss with you further.Alternatively, please refer someone for a voucher if they are successfully placed.TPBN1_UKTJ
