Heavy Plant & Telehandler OperatorLocation: Corby, NorthamptonshireSalary: £14.00 £15.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)Contract Type: Full-Time, OngoingAbout the RolePertemps is recruiting a skilled and versatile Heavy Plant & Telehandler Operator to join our established waste management client, Baileys Skip Hire, at their active recycling facility in Corby.In this role, you will play a key part in daily yard operations. While the site utilises 3.5T Telehandler trucks for moving materials, you will also be regularly operating heavy machineryspecifically a 360-grab excavator and a Loading Shovelto sort, load, and manage incoming waste.Working Hours & Shift PatternsThis position offers excellent earning potential with generous weekly hours.?Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM?Saturdays: 7:00 AM 12:00 PMSaturday frequency is negotiable (e.g., every Saturday or every other Saturday).Key Responsibilities?Waste Handling: Safely operate a 360-grab to sort, stockpile, and feed various waste streams into processing equipment.?Yard Loading: Operate the Loading Shovel to move bulk materials and load bulkers or skips.?Telehandler Operation: Utilise the on-site 3.5T Telehandler trucks for transporting sorted materials and organising the yard safely.?Maintenance & Checks: Complete daily pre-start safety inspections and routine maintenance (greasing, fluid top-ups) on all operated machinery.?Health & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to site health and safety rules within a busy, high-volume waste environment.Experience & Requirements (Essential)Industry Experience: Proven track record working within the waste management or recycling industry.?Machinery Competency: Hands-on experience driving/operating a 360 Excavator, Loading Shovel, or JCB.?Licenses/Tickets: Relevant and valid plant cards (e.g., CPCS, NPORS) for 360 Excavator, Wheeled Loader, or Telehandler are highly advantageous.?Reliability: A strong work ethic and the physical stamina required to handle a 12-hour weekday shift pattern.Whats on Offer?Competitive Pay: £14.00 £15.00 per hour DOE.?Stable Hours: High earning potential with consistent weekly hours and overtime.?Flexibility: Negotiable Saturday shift patterns to support your work-life balance.?Support: Direct representation and weekly pay through Pertemps.TPBN1_UKTJ
