Home to a diverse community of technology, science and knowledge-based organisations, the Science Park plays a key role in supporting enterprise, collaboration and economic growth across the region.They are now seeking an enthusiastic and organised Events Coordinator to join their Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied events programme that brings together tenants, partners and the wider business community through engaging networking, educational and community events.Events Coordinator, the role:Develop and coordinate an engaging annual programme of community and business eventsPlan and deliver events from concept through to successful completionCoordinate venues, suppliers, catering, equipment and guest logisticsDevelop event timelines and ensure all milestones are delivered on scheduleLead on-site event delivery, ensuring an outstanding attendee experienceMonitor attendance, gather feedback and recommend improvements for future eventsResearch successful initiatives delivered by other business parks and innovation hubsEngage with Science Park occupiers to identify events that add value to the communityWork closely with the Marketing Manager to promote events across digital channelsMonitor tenant news and social media to identify opportunities for wider promotionEnsure all events comply with health and safety requirements and risk assessmentsProvide wider administrative and operational support to the Business Development team as requiredEvents Coordinator, the person:Previous experience planning and delivering successful eventsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organised with exceptional attention to detailConfident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholdersStrong customer service focus with a proactive approachProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsComfortable using social media to promote events and engage audiencesAble to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative teamDesirable:An Interest in the science and technology sector would be advantageousExperience managing event budgets and supplier negotiationsFamiliarity with event management platforms such as EventbriteExperience working within a business park, commercial property or membership organisationMarketing or digital content creation experienceEvents Coordinator, the benefits:25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysPrivate medical and critical illness coverPension up to 10% employer contributionLife Assurance of 4x salaryFree on-site parkingBeautiful Science Park setting with excellent facilitiesPure Human Resources Limited works in partnership with the University of Southampton Science Park in providing HR and Recruitment support.
