Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year Job Description: Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Location: West Yorkshire Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 DOE Industry: Building Services / Construction Mechanical Estimator YCR is working with a growing contractor that delivers a wide range of building services, maintenance, refurbishment, and project works across commercial and industrial environments. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support the business in securing and delivering future projects. This role would suit someone who enjoys the challenge of pricing varied mechanical works, from maintenance and refurbishment projects through to larger-scale installations. You'll be joining a close-knit team where your input will directly influence project success and business growth. The Opportunity As Mechanical Estimator, you'll take ownership of enquiries from initial review through to final submission. You'll assess project requirements, build accurate cost models, engage with the supply chain, and help develop competitive tender solutions that balance quality, value, and profitability. You'll work closely with operational and commercial teams, providing valuable insight during the pre-construction phase and helping ensure projects are set up for success from day one. Requirents Previous estimating experience within Mechanical Building Services, M&E, HVAC, Facilities Management, or a related sector. A strong understanding of mechanical installations and associated project costs. Confidence reviewing technical information and turning it into accurate commercial proposals. Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues. A commercially focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
