Job Description
Reed Further Education are currently recruiting experienced SEND Lecturers to support learners with additional needs across a number of well-established Further Education settings. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying excellent pay and professional support.
\nRole Overview
\nPay Rate: £35+ Per hour (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
\nHours: 08:30 – 16:30 (approx. 7 hours per day)
\nWorking Pattern: Minimum of 4 days per week
\nStart Date: September (confirmed after onboarding)
\nEvent Date: Friday 9th July (PM)

- Candidates must not hold a sponsored, Skilled Worker, or Student Worker visa \n
Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) \n
- Plan, prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet individual learning needs \n
- Support learners’ academic, social, and personal development \n
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback \n
- Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements \n
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and wider curriculum teams \n
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment \n
What to Expect at the Recruitment Event
\nPresentation
\nCollege managers will provide an overview of the SEND Lecturer role and daily expectations.
\nGroup Interview
\nYou will have the opportunity to introduce yourself, discuss your experience, and demonstrate your knowledge of supporting young people and safeguarding.
\nWritten Task
\nYou will complete a short written exercise on the day. The task will be provided beforehand for preparation (optional).
\nMeet the Reed Team
\nAsk us any questions about registration, payroll, start dates, or the onboarding process.
\nAfter the Event
\nIf you are successful, a Reed consultant will contact you within a few days.
\nAll successful applicants will complete the full registration process and take part in a paid induction day prior to starting in September.
