Senior Employment Counsel

We are exclusively retained to appoint a Senior Employment Counsel for a large, multi-site UK & Global organisation undergoing continued growth and transformation.

This newly created role has been established to provide strategic employment law support across multiple UK business units, reduce reliance on external counsel and partner closely with senior leadership and HR teams on business-critical workforce matters.

The position can be based from one of the organisation's UK locations, with regular travel across sites to support key stakeholders and operational teams.

The Role

As a trusted adviser to the business, you will lead on a broad range of complex employment matters, with a particular focus on strategic stakeholder engagement, organisational change and workforce transformation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising senior leaders and HR teams on complex contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
\n
• Supporting business growth, organisational change, restructures and workforce transformation initiatives.
\n
• Leading on sensitive employee relations issues, investigations and employment disputes.
\n
• Driving consistency of employment law advice and risk management across multiple UK business units.
\n
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
\n
• Reducing external legal spend through the provision of commercially focused, pragmatic legal support.
\n
• Balancing legal risk with commercial and operational objectives in a fast-paced environment.
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified Solicitor with significant employment law experience gained in private practice and/or in-house.
\n
• Demonstrable experience supporting organisational change, restructuring and workforce transformation projects.
\n
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership teams.
\n
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
\n
• Comfortable operating autonomously within a complex, multi-site organisation.
\n
