Management Accountant

Location: Bristol (East)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Permanent | Office Based

Responsibilities

\n
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
\n
• Complete journals, accruals and prepayments.
\n
• Maintain fixed asset registers.
\n
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
\n
• Support annual audits.
\n
• Produce monthly reporting and financial analysis.
\n
• Work closely with operational teams across the business.
\n
• Support implementation of finance systems improvements.
\n
• Oversee a small Purchase Ledger function.
\n
• Process employee expenses.
\n
• Assist with stock accounting and cost accounting.
\n
• Drive continuous improvements to finance processes.
\n
• Provide support across the wider finance team when required.
\n

About You

We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys taking ownership and working within a fast-moving business.

You'll have:

\n
• Previous Management Accounting experience.
\n
• Strong VAT knowledge. (essential)
\n
• Experience with fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations. (essential)
\n
• Strong month-end accounting experience.
\n
• Excellent communication skills.
\n
• Confidence to influence stakeholders and challenge where appropriate.
\n
• Good Excel skills.
\n
• Experience using ERP systems.
\n

Qualified by Experience, AAT Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified accountants are all encouraged to apply.
