\nAn established social housing provider is seeking an experienced In-house Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join its legal team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with expertise in housing disrepair and property litigation to manage a diverse caseload while providing strategic legal support across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing legal risk, supporting compliance and driving improvements that enhance services for residents.
\nWorking closely with operational teams, you will lead on the management and defence of housing disrepair claims, advise on complex property access matters and support the delivery of essential repairs and safety-related works. You will also use your legal expertise to identify trends, reduce litigation risk and contribute to continuous service improvement.

\nAs In-house Housing Disrepair Solicitor, you will:

- Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims from instruction through to resolution, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and legal protocols. \n
- Provide expert legal advice on housing disrepair, property litigation and access-related matters. \n
- Represent the organisation in court proceedings and lead on obtaining legal access for inspections, repairs and safety compliance works. \n
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to minimise litigation risk, improve processes and reduce legal costs. \n
- Analyse claims data and emerging trends to support service improvements and strengthen compliance. \n
- Ensure the organisation remains informed of developments in housing legislation, regulation and best practice. \n
Profile
\n- \n
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience. \n
- Proven expertise in housing disrepair and property litigation. \n
- Strong knowledge of relevant housing legislation, civil procedure and litigation processes. \n
- Experience managing complex and high-volume caseloads through to conclusion. \n
- Understanding of the social housing sector, including key legislation and regulatory requirements. \n
- Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to a range of stakeholders. \n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills. \n
- Commercially aware, solutions-focused and committed to delivering high professional standards. \n
Job Offer
