CNC Operator & Bench Joiner up to £40,000 OTE£35,000 basic + overtime + pensionBespoke Front Door (Richmond Doors Ltd) Teddington, TW11Immediate startWe are Bespoke Front Door a luxury manufacturer of handmade Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian period front doors, crafted using premium Accoya and Tricoya timber in our Teddington workshop, supplied and fitted by our own team.We're looking for a skilled CNC Operator and Bench Joiner to join our workshop team. You'll take doors from CNC-cut components through to fully prepared, fitting-ready product combining CNC machining with traditional bench joinery skills. This is a hands-on role: you'll programme and run our CNC using V Carve Pro and finish and prepare doors to the standard our fitting team needs on site.What you'll be doing:- Programming and operating our CNC machine using V Carve Pro to cut door components to spec- Taking CNC-cut parts and completing traditional bench joinery assembly, fitting of joints, and hand-finishing to produce doors ready for glazing and site fitting- Producing traditional period front doors Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian styles with period-accurate detailing throughout- Working with Accoya and Tricoya timber using tenoning machines, spindle moulders and planing machines alongside the CNC- Preparing doors to a standard that requires no rework once they reach the fitting team on site- Assisting with glazing and finishing to a luxury standard- Helping plan and organise the workshop production schedule as the workshop growsWhat we're looking for:- Essential: reliable and punctual the workshop schedule and fitting team depend on you being there and delivering on time.- Essential: reliable and punctual the workshop schedule and fitting team depend on you being there and delivering on time.- Essential:This is a physically active job and the candidate will need to be able to move and lift heavy pieces of timber.- Essential: Proven experience operating a CNC router and programming with V Carve Pro or similar- Essential: Recent experience in a joinery workshop, ideally producing doors, windows, or similarly high-tolerance joinery, and comfortable taking a piece from machined component to fitting-ready finished product- Confident use of tenoning machines, spindle moulders and planing machines- Experience with Accoya/Tricoya or similarly premium/modified timber is an advantage, but not essential full training given- Good spoken English for clear communication on-site and in the workshopHours & pay- Realistic total earnings: up to £40,000 per year (basic + overtime + pension)- Starting basic salary: £35,000 gross per annum, dependent on skills and experience- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm- Workplace pension contribution- Salary paid monthly in arrears- 28 days' paid holiday per annum (including 8 bank holidays)*Qualifying period applies.Why Bespoke Front Door- Work on genuinely bespoke, high-value pieces not volume production- Small, close-knit workshop team where craft and quality come first- Based in Teddington, well placed for South West London and Surrey- Room to grow into supervising and planning as the workshop expandsThis role is based at our workshop in Teddington, TW11.
