Join an organisation committed to the success of one of the Countrys fastest-growing boroughs and the people who make it thrive.About the roleThis role is a Fixed Term Contract with a duration of 2 years.As a Housing Maintenance and Voids Surveyor, youll be an integral part of the Property Repair Service team, delivering effective day to day maintenance, repair and improvement services to our tenants. Youll be working collaboratively with tenants, contractors, legal representatives and colleagues to deliver high quality outcomes.This is a varied role where youll be undertaking a range of duties such as -Inspection of occupied and void propertiesInspection of properties for mutual exchanges and incentive movesInvestigation of complaints, disrepair claims and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) casesDamp, mould and condensation investigations in line with Awaabs Law requirements and emerging housing legislationDiagnosing building defects and undertaking building pathology investigationsProducing detailed schedules and specifications of works for repairs operatives and contractorsPre and post inspections of responsive repairs, voids and planned worksPreparing specifications and tender documentation for contractor procurementSupporting legal disrepair and insurance claims with technical reports and evidenceMonitoring contractor performance, quality and complianceContributing to stock condition intelligence and asset management objectivesEnsuring compliance with health and safety legislation and housing standardsAbout youYoull have substantial relevant experience in social housing, property maintenance, building pathology, disrepair, damp and mould investigations, or contract management.Ideally youll also hold a relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Property Maintenance or a related discipline, but if not we can support you to work towards this.Alongside this youll be a proactive, customer-focused person with experience of modern social housing challenges, including damp and mould, disrepair, building defects, asset compliance, and tenancy sustainability.Benefits35 days leave (including 8 Bank Holidays and 3 extra days normally applied at Christmas)Generous Local Government Pension SchemeHybrid working up to 60%Flexi time schemeAnnual leave purchase schemeSubsidised parkingStructured Induction ProgramLearning and Development opportunities including Future Leaders programmesPayment of a professional subscription for approved professionalsFamily Friendly PoliciesIndependent Support for your health & wellbeingGenerous compassionate leaveExtra Benefits including Retail Discounts, Cycle to Work scheme and moreTPBN1_UKTJ
