Project Architect

Salary: £55,000£60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Type: Full-time, PermanentKey Responsibilities Lead and manage architectural projects from inception through to completion across all RIBA Stages.Deliver high-quality buildings for private sector clients including higher education and university buildings, ensuring projects meet programme, budget and quality objectives.Prepare, develop and coordinate architectural designs, technical information and construction documentation.Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, planning authorities and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to achieve integrated design solutions.Manage project programmes, resources and project risks.Attend and lead client, design and site meetings.Undertake site inspections and contract administration duties where required.Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations, Planning legislation, CDM Regulations and relevant industry standards.Support and mentor junior members of the architectural team.Contribute to business development activities and help maintain strong client relationships.Essential Requirements ARB Registered Architect.Chartered Member of RIBA (or eligible for Chartered Membership).Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice.Proven experience delivering education projects, particularly within the private sector.Strong technical design and detailing skills.Experience leading projects through all RIBA Plan of Work stages.Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and construction methods.Strong project management and client-facing skills.Excellent communication and organisational abilities.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (or equivalent BIM software), together with Microsoft Office.Full UK driving licence (desirable).Desirable Experience Experience working on listed buildings and conservation projects.Knowledge of heritage legislation, conservation principles and working within sensitive historic environments.Contract administration experience.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.Working knowledge of BIM standards and digital project delivery.Personal Attributes Professional, proactive and commercially aware.Strong leadership and decision-making skills.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Collaborative team player with the confidence to work independently.Committed to delivering high-quality design and technical excellence.What We Offer Competitive salary of £55,000£60,000 , depending on experience.Company pension scheme.Generous annual leave entitlement.Professional membership support and CPD opportunities.Opportunities for career progression and professional development.A collaborative and supportive working environment.The opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of education and heritage projects.TPBN1_UKTJ
