The site has expanded significantly over recent years and continues to scale at pace, creating a genuine opportunity for someone who wants to step into a broader, more strategic leadership role as the business evolves.You will lead the site engineering function, take full ownership of engineering performance and drive a culture of reliability, improvement and professional development. The role requires a leader who can deliver in a hands on environment while also contributing to long term strategy as the operation continues to grow.This is an ideal move for an ambitious engineering professional who is ready to take on a bigger challenge and grow with a business that is investing heavily in its people, capability and future.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a multi skilled engineering team and external contractorsEnsure engineering resource and shift cover supports a continuous manufacturing operationOwn the preventative and reactive maintenance strategy across production and utilitiesDrive rapid response to breakdowns to protect output and minimise downtimeLead root cause analysis and implement long term corrective actionsOversee engineering activity including upgrades, installations and commissioningManage engineering projects in partnership with OEMs and external suppliersEnsure full compliance with health and safety, food safety and engineering legislationLead risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of workWork closely with Production and Quality to improve OEE, reliability and line performanceMaintain accurate maintenance records, asset registers and schedules through the CMMSManage engineering KPIs, budgets, spares and contractor spendProvide clear performance updates and recommendations to senior leadershipContribute to the long term engineering strategy as the business continues to expandThe PersonProven experience as an Engineering Manager or senior engineering leader within FMCG or food and drink manufacturingStrong multi skilled engineering background with mechanical and electrical capabilityExperience with high speed automated production lines and PLC controlled equipmentComfortable stepping into a busy environment and delivering impact quicklyStrong knowledge of health and safety legislation and food safety standards including HACCP and GMPConfident leading teams, contractors and senior stakeholdersAmbitious, forward thinking and ready to grow into a more strategic leadership roleDelivery focused, pragmatic and commercially awareContactFor more information please contact Ryan Taylor at Winsearch.Winsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
