You'll play a key role in keeping the site running efficiently by safely moving trailers around the yard and ensuring they are positioned for loading and unloading.The RoleAs a Yard Shunter, your responsibilities will include:Safely moving trailers between designated yard locations and loading baysPositioning trailers accurately for loading and unloading operationsCarrying out routine vehicle and equipment safety checksMonitoring trailer movements and maintaining an organised yardCommunicating effectively with warehouse and transport teamsReporting defects, hazards, or operational issues promptlyMaintaining high standards of housekeeping across the yardFollowing all Health & Safety procedures and site regulations at all timesWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in a yard, transport, or logistics environmentGood awareness of Health & Safety proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and hardworkingFlexible approach with a positive attitudePlease note: Due to the remote location and limited public transport links, your own transport is highly desirable .Pay & BenefitsDay Shift: £15.04 per hourPM Shift: £15.04per hour (2:00pm 8:00pm) and £18.20per hour (8:00pm 10:00pm)Night Shift: £18.20 per hourWeekly payTemp-to-perm opportunityFriendly and supportive working environmentLong-term career prospectsTrainingSuccessful candidates will complete their first two weeks of training at an alternative warehouse location before transferring to the main site in Derby.Apply today with your up-to-date CV.
