HR Advisor (ER) 6-month FTC

HR Advisor (FTC - 3 to 6 Months)Location: Peterborough (4 days per week onsite)Travel: Required once a month/as required to London and West Drayton sitesContract: Fixed-Term (3-6 months)Reporting to: Senior HR Business PartnerWe are seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a 3-6-month fixed term contract, primarily based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations .You will take ownership of a range of complex ER cases, managing them end-to-end while ensuring best practice, compliance, and a positive employee experience.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a high volume of Employee Relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and workplace investigationsProvide expert advice and guidance to managers on ER issues, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policy and employment lawLead and support complex and sensitive cases , including investigations and hearingsEnsure all ER cases are handled in a fair, timely, and legally compliant mannerSupport line managers in building confidence and capability in handling people mattersMaintain accurate documentation and case records, producing reports and insights where requiredIdentify trends in ER activity and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and improve practicesCollaborate with wider HR teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR serviceKey RequirementsProven experience in a HR Advisor or similar role within a fast-paced environmentStrong Employee Relations expertise , with demonstrable experience managing complex cases independentlySolid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practiceExperience in coaching, mentoring, or developing junior HR colleaguesExcellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsStrong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesProfessional, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approachWorking Pattern4 days per week onsite in Peterborough, travel to London and West Drayton required (once a month/as required)TPBN1_UKTJ
