Graduate Building Surveyor

Consula Group LTD
London, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation based in London who are looking for a talented Graduate Building Surveyor to join their team and begin building a rewarding long-term career in the built environment.

\n

This is a genuine graduate opportunity with real responsibility from the outset. You will not be making tea and filing paperwork — you will be involved in live projects, working directly alongside experienced professionals, and developing the practical skills that will take you to RICS chartership and beyond.

\n

The Organisation

\n

A well-established and growing business operating across London and the wider South East, with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. They are committed to developing their people and have a strong track record of supporting graduates through their APC journey to full MRICS qualification.

\n

The Role

\n

You will be working across a varied and interesting caseload, gaining exposure to all core areas of building surveying practice. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

\n
    \n
  • Carrying out building surveys and producing detailed condition reports
  • \n
  • Preparing and advising on dilapidations — both terminal and interim
  • \n
  • Supporting with contract administration on refurbishment and repair projects
  • \n
  • Assisting with project management from inception through to completion
  • \n
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants
  • \n
  • Preparing specifications, schedules of works, and tender documentation
  • \n
  • Contributing to defect analysis and remediation advice
  • \n
\n

As you develop, you will take on increasing responsibility and client-facing work, with full support towards completing your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and achieving MRICS status.

\n

What We Are Looking For

\n

A degree in Building Surveying or a closely related construction and property discipline, accredited by the RICS. You will be enthusiastic, commercially aware, and genuinely interested in the built environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage your time effectively across multiple projects.

\n

Some prior placement or work experience within a surveying or construction environment is desirable, but not essential — what matters most is the right attitude and a commitment to developing your career.

\n

A full UK driving licence is advantageous.

\n

What Is On Offer

\n

A competitive salary, structured APC support and mentoring, a clear progression pathway, and the opportunity to work on a genuinely varied portfolio of projects across one of the most dynamic property markets in the world.
