We are partnering with a thriving, dynamic cost consultancy based in Central London to find an ambitious Quantity Surveyor. This is a highly client-facing role where you will work closely alongside Senior QSs and Associate Directors on landmark developments across the capital.

The Projects\n

You will be stepping onto an exciting, diverse portfolio spanning:

  • Sectors: Co-Living, Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Build to Rent (BTR), Industrial & Logistics (I&L), Education, and Commercial Offices.
  • \n
  • Scale: Projects typically ranging from 50 to 500+ units, with values between £20m and £100m.
  • \n
Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Pre-contract cost planning (RIBA Stages 1-4)
  • \n
  • Procurement and full tender process management
  • \n
  • Administration of JCT Design & Build (D&B) contracts
  • \n
  • Interim valuations and payment notices
  • \n
  • Variations and rigorous change management
  • \n
  • Monthly cost reporting and accurate cash flow forecasting
  • \n
  • Carbon management and sustainable commercial tracking (training provided)
  • \n
Candidate Requirements\n
    \n
  • Professional Status: MRICS qualification is desirable, or actively working towards your APC.
  • \n
  • Background: Cost consultancy background preferred, though we are very open to considering contractor-side QSs looking to make the move across to consultancy.
  • \n
  • Contractual Knowledge: Solid experience with JCT forms of contract (residential new build or cut-and-carve exposure is a distinct bonus).
  • \n
  • Skills: Exceptional commercial awareness, strong client-facing communication skills, and advanced Excel skills for complex financial modelling and data tracking.
