Outreach Tutor

Specialist 1:1 Outreach Tutor - Coventry As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in a pupil's education while promoting engagement, confidence and attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher seeking to deliver personalised learning outside of a mainstream classroom. We are seeking a tutor with experience teaching Year 5 KS2 English, together with specialist knowledge of Makaton, British Sign Language (BSL), supporting hearing-impaired pupils, and working with pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL). Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and support positive learning outcomes. Contract/Position Details: Location - Within the community or pupil's home in Coventry Position - 1:1 Outreach Tutor Type of work - Contract Start date - ASAP Duration - Until the pupil reintegrates into a school placement End date (if applicable) - Ongoing Contract type - Temporary Full-time/Part-time - Part-time (15 hours per week, per pupil) Minimum rate of pay - £22+ per hour Hours - Flexible, based on the family's availability Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS or equivalent UK classroom teaching experience Experience teaching Year 5 KS2 English Experience using Makaton and/or BSL Experience supporting hearing-impaired and EAL pupils Experience working with SEND or disengaged learners A creative, patient and adaptable approach To be eligible for this role, you must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one Provide two professional child-related references Apply Now To find out more or apply for this 1:1 Specialist Outreach Tutor position, please send your CV to .
