As Senior Group Financial Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role within the central finance team, acting as a key technical specialist and support to the Head of Financial Control & Compliance. This is a broad, influential position with exposure to senior finance leadership, external auditors, advisors, and multiple international entities. You’ll take ownership of statutory reporting, group consolidations, technical accounting, and internal controls - while also contributing to transformation projects, process improvements, and ongoing enhancements of the group’s financial framework.Key ResponsibilitiesGroup Reporting & Statutory Accounting\n

  • Lead the preparation of group consolidations, statutory accounts and entity-level reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • \n
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • \n
  • Support shareholder and lender reporting in line with established timetables.
  • \n
Audit, Controls & Compliance\n
    \n
  • Act as the day-to-day lead for external audits, coordinating information flows and driving efficient audit completion.
  • \n
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust internal controls.
  • \n
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and the ongoing development of group finance policies.
  • \n
Tax, Treasury & Risk\n
    \n
  • Support group tax compliance through liaison with external advisors.
  • \n
  • Assist with transfer pricing, intercompany reporting and treasury-related activities including FX reporting and covenant monitoring.
  • \n
  • Contribute to pension reporting and governance as required.
  • \n
Process Improvement & Transformation\n
    \n
  • Drive improvements and automation across reporting, close processes and controls.
  • \n
  • Play a key role in finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation and system upgrades.
  • \n
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data quality.
  • \n
Stakeholder Collaboration\n
    \n
  • Act as a technical point of contact for finance colleagues and wider business stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Support senior finance leadership with high-quality analysis, ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • \n
  • Coach and review the work of more junior team members.
  • \n
About YouWe’re looking for a technically strong, ambitious finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.You will bring:\n

  • ACA / ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • \n
  • Experience in statutory reporting, group consolidation and multi-entity environments.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes and compliance frameworks.
  • \n
  • Exposure to tax, treasury or intercompany accounting.
  • \n
  • Experience contributing to finance transformation or systems change projects.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
  • \n
  • A proactive, detail-focused and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
