SEND Teacher

Reed FE are always recruiting for experienced SEND professionals who can deliver engaging, differentiated learning for pupils with complex needs.

This is idea for someone with a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and experiences in SEND Special education needs and disabilities.

SEND Lecturer

• Hourly Rate: Up to £25 - £35 per hour

Day-to-day of the role of an SEND Teacher:

\n
• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with special educational needs.
\n
• Support pupils by planning learning activities linked to their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
\n
• Work collaboratively with therapists and support staff to enhance the learning experience and meet the holistic needs of the pupils.
\n
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to annual reviews, ensuring educational goals are being met.
\n
• Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing among pupils through effective teaching strategies and positive reinforcement.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Recognised teaching qualification.
\n
• Experience working within SEMH in an SEN setting
\n
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
\n
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
\n
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service.
\n
• Right to work in the UK.
\n
